With the balance of ingredients used for my chicken satay, I cooked another wonderful dish that is fragrant and goes very well with steamed white rice.
This recipe is created by Wendy ( Table for 2 or more.. ) and do hop into her beautiful blog for the full recipe. :))
Ingredients :
200g pork tenderloin - sliced
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp oil
( Mix the above ingredients and marinade for 15 minutes )
1 red onion - sliced
1 lemon grass - sliced
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp worcestershire sauce ( omitted )
2 bird's eyes chillies - halved ( omitted )
3 tbsp oil
Method :
Preheat wok with oil and add in pork slices.
Stir fry until the pork turns opaque.
* Great tip *
Push pork to the side of the wok and let the juices flow back into the centre of the wok.
Let the oil heat up for about 10 to 15 seconds and push pork back into the oil.
( It sizzles )
Stir fry for a while.
( Repeat this step for 2 times )
Push pork at the side of the wok and add in chillies, lemongrass and onions.
Cook until onions are translucent.
Add in worcestershire sauce and give the onions a good toss.
Push the pork back onto the onions and stir fry for a while.
Sprinkle with sugar and toss it around.
Add in soy sauce.
Continue to stir fry until the pork is dry and fragrant.
Dish up and serve.
Thank you Wendy for this wonderful recipe and ' the tips ' too. :))
