This is the chicken satay recipe that I had always wanted to try out. Got the recipe from the internet and made some modifications to suit my liking. :)
Ingredients :
2 chicken whole leg - deboned and cut into small pieces
1 tbsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp fennel powder
1 tbsp cumin powder
2 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp salt or to taste
To blend into a paste or pounded :
4 shallots
2 stalks lemongrass
3 buah keras ( macademia nuts )
Bamboo skewers - soaked in water for a few hours to prevent them from burning.
Method :
Marinade chicken with all the ingredients together overnight.
The lemongrass brush and oil for basting the meat.
( can add evaporated milk into the oil if u wish )
Skewer with bamboo sticks.
Guess I overcrowded the meat. :P
Will cut even smaller the next round.
Grill and baste with some oil for about 5 to 6 minutes or till golden brown and tender.
Done.
Serve with the satay peanut sauce.
Yummy..
Looks delicious! Totally mouthwatering :)
