Hubby loves anything that is sweet and sour. Acar, sweet and sour fish, pork and even pineapples or mangoes!!!
Well, sweet and sour dishes are always very appetizing..... :P
Ingredients :
1/2 cucumber
1 small capsicum
1 medium red onion
1 medium tomato
( cut all veges into small chunks )
200g pork tenderloin - cut into small cubes
Sauce :
3 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp cornflour
8 tbsp water
Method :
Marinate pork with 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp rice wine and 1 tbsp cornflour for at least 1/2 hour.
Add in another 3 tbsps cornflour pre-frying.
Preheat wok with 1 cup of oil and fry marinated pork cubes till golden brown
Remove and drain on kitchen towel
Leave 2 tbsps oil in wok and saute onions till fragrant
Add in tomatoes, saute for another 2 minutes
Then, add in capsicum and saute another 2 minutes again
And finally add in the sauce
When the sauce starts to boil and thicken, off fire and dish up
I usually mix them up only when everyone is ready for dinner
If not, the meat will turn soggy
Okay, dinner's ready and mix everything up and serve.
Hmm...this is my favorite dish too...Very appetizing.
