Butter Cheese Omelette

Creamy, soft and fragrant omelette recipe by Jamie Oliver.  A great dish to cook for breakfast or back to school's lunch for kids :)

Ingredients :

2 eggs ( lightly beaten with a dash of black pepper and a pinch of salt )
1 slice cheddar cheese
1/2 tbsp butter
1/2 tbsp olive oil

Method :

Preheat non stick wok with olive oil. ( butter won't get burnt easily with olive oil )
Add in butter.
( medium low fire )

Once butter has melted, add in eggs.

Bring eggs into the middle ( about 30 seconds )
( like cooking scrambled eggs )

Then add in cheese. ( any type of cheese will do )
Let it cook on low heat for about 40 seconds.

Go round the edges of pan with a spatula to dislodge the omelette and then flap it half.

Dish up and serve it on bread or rice.

Yums....

  1. So cute to see your kids' contented looks :) this is a nice idea, reminds me of another recipe that adds mayo to the omelet to make it soft and buttery. Thanks, i am making this tomorow for my son's snack.
