Radish With Carrot Soup

One of the best soups during hot weathers. I will boil this soup every two weeks as one of the clear body heat soup for my family. Prince loves it and can finish a big bowl of rice with only this soup!

But, it is said to worsen the condition of people who has colds and cough after consuming this soup. So, better not to boil this soup when someone in the house is in this condition. :P

Ingredients :

1 small radish - peeled and cut into small chunks
1/2 carrot - peeled and cut into small chunks
size of a fist of pork loin
1 tbsp pitted dates
1/2 tbsp dried mussels
1.5 litre water
salt to taste

Method :

Bring water in a small pot to boil and add in pork loin. Continue to boil until all the scums from the pork rise to the surface. Remove pork and wash away all the scums.

In another medium large pot, put cleaned pork loin together with the rest of ingredients except the salt and mussels.

When the water starts boiling only you add in dried mussels to get rid of the fishy smell.
Bring to boil and switch to low heat and let it simmer for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

Add salt to taste.
Serve hot.
