Bought a big bunch of spring onions from the wet market for RM1. Well, got to get cooking dishes that has spring onions on them. The first dish that came to my mind is this.
200 gms pork tenderloin - slice into small pieces
1 thumbsize old ginger - cut into thin slices
2 stalks spring onion - cut into 2 cm length
1/3 tsp salt or to taste
cornflour solution - ( 1 tsp cornflour + 3 tbsp water )
Marinate : ( Marinate pork for 1 hour )
1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tbsp shaoxing wine
1/2 tbsp cornflour
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok. Saute ginger and white parts of spring onions till fragrant.
Add in pork and stir fry till meat changes colour.
Then, add water just to cover the meat.
Once start to boil, add salt and cover wok and let it simmer for 2 minutes under medium low heat.
Finally, turn back to medium high heat, add in spring onions and stir fry till all are mixed up evenly and spring onion has turned soft.
Thicken the gravy with cornstarch solution.
Dish up and serve hot with rice.
