Braised Chicken With Ginger

Although  my  choosy  eaters are ALWAYS lazy bums ( I mean having meat without bones all the time ), but I don't care, ha ha. Some dishes, chicken for example, must be cooked using a whole bird. It won't taste good if all the bones are removed.

Well, this dish must be cooked that way I'm sure and yes, princess told me it do taste good apart from asking the same old question la, " Why got bones ah? " Haiz..... very susah.

Hubby started laughing when princess asked that question not knowing that he's the one who taught her to eat that way!

Ingredients :

Quarter chicken - chop into smaller pieces
3 inch old ginger - sliced thinly
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
3/4 cup water

Method :

Preheat wok with 4 tbsp oil and saute ginger till fragrant.

Add in chicken and stir fry for 1 minute.
Then, add in oyster sauce, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce and sugar.
Keep stir frying for another 5 minutes in medium high heat till chicken is cooked and smells fragrant.

Finally, add in water and when it starts to boil, lower heat and let it simmer covered till meat is tender and sauce is reduced.
Dish up and serve warm.
